Confirmation of Registration
If you receive an element of Student Finance funding that requires a Registration Confirmation (e.g. maintenance loan**) this can only be confirmed to Student Finance after the two weeks induction / cancellation period has concluded, and provided you have engaged with your unit on OCA Learn.
We will initially check all students once the induction / cancellation period has ended, and then weekly thereafter for any students who have either applied late, or engage late with their unit.
As part of this we confirm the credits you are currently registered to - in most cases this will be 40 credits. If you have indicated a different number of credits, we will confirm the correct number, and once Student Finance process that change, we will be requested to complete the Registration Confirmation again. This may delay your payment and the amount to be paid to you will need to be adjusted, so it is worth getting right for future applications.

**Please be aware part-time distance learning students can only apply for maintenance loans if they have to study by distance learning due to disability. Please contact Student Finance directly to discuss your eligibility**
Confirmation of Attendance
We are required to confirm ongoing Attendance for Student Finance funded students at three points in the year.
As part of this we confirm that you are continuing to engage with your studies - established by either unit progress or unit access on OCA Learn. This releases payment of any tuition fee funding you have in place, which is paid to us in three instalments.
If you do not engage with your unit and we are unable to confirm your ongoing attendance to Student Finance, your fees will become overdue and you may be contacted by our Finance Team to discuss payment.
