- Needs Assessment Report:
- Your assessor will create a Needs Assessment report for your funding body.
- Your assessment centre should use the section on Information for Needs Assessors on OCA's disability page, not Open University (OU) pages.
- You will receive a copy of this report and have the opportunity to review it and ensure you are satisfied with the content. Please ensure it relates to OCA not just the OU.
- DSA2 Letter:
- The funding body will review the recommendations from your Needs Assessment and will send you a DSA2 letter.
- This letter will confirm whether the support has been approved and will provide details on which companies will provide the awarded items or support.
- You will need to contact these companies to arrange the support. They may request a copy of your DSA2 letter.
- Please ensure that any one-to-one support is arranged within the Seasonal Academic Year (SAY) dates - See "Important intake and support information"
- Computer Contribution:
- If you are awarded a computer, you will need to pay a £200 contribution directly to the agreed provider.
- Any additional upgrades or extras beyond the standard provision will be your responsibility to pay for.
- Financial Assistance:
- If you have a low household income, OCA may be able to assist with the £200 contribution. Please refer to the Learner Support Scheme information once you are enrolled in your course.
For further assistance, feel free to contact the Learner Support team at OCA.
